ice and water

Ice-covered ponds are a sign of the season. This pond is on the inland side of the coast road just south of Jenness State Beach (in New Hampshire). It sports ice with open water near a spillway and yet there were still people playing on the ice.

I love the combination of open water reflecting clouds and ice brushed with snow.
