color for a snowy day

On this snowy morning I feel the need for some color... here is a splash of pink emerging from a sea of leaves.

I was surprised when I saw this photo. It is a full color photo but it (almost) gives the impression of an image that had been changed to black & white with some selective color. That's definitely not the case.
