shimmering

I wandered over to Spring Mountain Ranch late in the afternoon after leaving the loop road in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Spring Mountain is a state park that resides inside of the conservation area.

The surface of this small pond went from calm to rippled to calm again, shimmering. I was pulled in by the color of the water, the ducks paddling about, the slight reflection of the trees.
